I’m 16 years old and I would like some recommendation on some great mystery books. What are some great classic ones that I should definitely read? I usually like mystery books involving some kind of murders and then people are trying to solve it. One of my favorite mystery books is And Then There Were None (also called Ten Little Indians) by Agatha Christie. After I read that book I became interested in the mystery genre so I would like to read more great mystery books.

Dashiel Hammet has some reputedly great books. I’ve never been able to get into them, but they’re sorta noir mystery, I believe. Agatha Christie, of course, has dozens of other books that are quite good.

Tess Gerritsen is a more recent author with some amazing books. They’re mostly mystery, but with some romance, if I recall correctly. ‘The Bone Garden’ is sort of the perfect balance between the two, although the ending is entirely saccharine xD
