Well, Wilkie Collins wrote mystery/detective novels. There’s The Moonstone (which is considered to be the first detective novel) and The Woman in White. Hope you like 18th century British literature.
The Robert Ludlum novels are all quite good so to the Sean Dillon series by Jack Higgins. And for straight out mysteries, how could you go past Agatha Christie. Good light and entertaining reading.

i’m partial to the Alphabet mysteries by Sue Grafton
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher is a mixture between mystery and fantasy/sci fi
Skeleton Creek by Patrick Carman
If you’re looking for classic mystery try anything by Raymond Chandler, especially The Big Sleep.
If you’re looking for more contemporary and something with a bit of thrill, anything by Iris Johansen. I suggest Blind Alley.
Any of the Harry Potter books.
