Look at Meg Cabot Books, Everything she writes is awesome, Like Avalon High, and there is a seires in white the first book is called All-American Girl, and i think the second is called Ready or not.
Pretty sure you will like all of her books if you like confessions of a shopaholic. She also wrote princess Diaries.

Try the series called the uglies. I think it goes uglies, pretties, specials, and one more.

Also Check out Nancy Drew – Mystery!

and maybe sisterhood of the traveling pants.

If all else fails, read Harry Again. =]=]

I’ve read both Harry Potter (all 7) and Twilight (all 4). I definitely recommend reading the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. I just got done reading them and think that it’s the best series I’ve ever read. Give it a try. The first book is called ‘Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment’

well like you i also like harry potter and twilight you should try Percy Jackson and the Olympians it a personal favorite its mythical like twilight and harry potter. the author is rick riordan. the most likely place to find them is a bookstore but not half-price-books- (they’ll be long gone by now) if you don’t want to spend that much money or there aren’t any bookstores in town or whatever you can try target. they have good rices but not all targets have them because they run out fast. I think we might be good friends we should chat sometimes my email’s JLopez0130@yahoo.com

I’m also 14 and love to read. However, my tastes are a bit different from yours. I’ll list some of my old favorites, though.

Ella Enchanted, by Gail Carson Levine (anything by this author)

The Year of Secret Assignments, by Jaclyn Moriarty

The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold

      Torn Thread, by Anne Isaacs

North by Night, by Katherine Ayres

      Any book by Meg Cabot

All of these are light reading and really enjoyable.

      Blue is for nightmares
      White is for magic
      Silver is for secrets
      Red is for rememberance

cant tell you much about twilight, but my wife read em all and loved em, and im about to finish harry potter(currently on #7), and im in the same dillema, and been asking around. Planning on reading “The Hobbit” along with the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I hear it is a good series for potter fans

    • Penelope says:

I agree with Brandon. The Lord of the Rings is good as well as The Door WIthin trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson. If you like reading books about dragons, there’s also the Dragonkeeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul.

I had the exact same question about a few months ago. I went all over the internet trying to find something. I found that my library was not so good at the walk in and look on the shelves and find something…..so I looked up list for people with our question. I have read several I would think worth reading again. The Septimus Heap books are good for a Harry Potter type book. There is a series out by Rachel Cain the fist one is Glass house its great. I did not look at your age but if your a little older than a teen there is a series out by C.L. Wilson it starts with Lord of the fading Lands it is really good. It is a fantasy/Romance and has sexually explicate scenes in it. But if that would not bother you I recommend that series it has romance and intrigue all the good stuff and its well written. There is the Ink heart series they are a good read not excellent but good.Someone mentioned Marked and the rest of that series I have not read them but also heard they where great. Hope this gives you some things to read enjoy. :)

    • Joel says:

I like Twilight and Harry Potter. This might not be the same genre or anything, but I would strongly recommend the Eragon series.

    • Iris A says:
