I’m not reading Final Crisis, but wasn’t the whole Countdown debacle supposed to be a big build up to the huge BOOM of Final Crisis? If I picked up that first BOOM issue and got a freakin build up story I would be pissed.

A lot of people were. Countdown to Final Crisis was nothing short of a disaster. However, right now (after reading all Final Crisis issues, and all Secret Invasion Issues I’m more interested in Final Crisis. (As of now that can change.)

DCs method for Final Crisis makes a better story. But the Secret Invasion method leads to better sales unfortunately

It’s better off to start off w/ a big kick rather than start off small because that you get a lot of people intersted for big parts for later upcomings.
