F.Paul Wilson–The Keep, The Tomb, The Select, (all of his books are great, but a lot of them are within the Adversary Cycle and the Repairman Jack series which you really need to read in order. The ones listed above work great as standalones.)
Bentley Little–The Resort and the Policy (though one part in that one still bothers me)
Dracula by Bram Stoker
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Tell Tale Heart and anything else by Edgar A. Poe
The Shining and anything else by Stephen King
Shadowmancer by G. P. Taylor
I recommend Carrie.
Others are the shining,
Cell
It
stephen king is great.
also patricia cornwell.
she’s an amazing crime novelist.
it’s not so much horror

and very suspenseful :]

Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill. Stephen King’s little boy did a great job. Very scary book. Pax-C
Steven King’s Cell, it is a good can’t put it down type book about a pulse from a cell phone that reboots everyone who hears it.
Lullaby by Palahniuk. American Psycho by Ellis. The Collector by Fowles.
